    Striker blow for Rovers

    27 Sep 2007 - 07:16:59

Doncaster Rovers have received a blow with the news that striker Mark McCammon is set to miss the next month with a hamstring problem.

The 29-year-old frontman has missed the last two games and has been ruled out of action until mid-October.

However, Jason Price could be fit to face Cheltenham Town on Saturday after reporting no fresh problems with an Achilles injury following a reserve team outing earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, Rovers have named Dick Watson as the new deputy chairman of the League One club following Jim Beresford's departure.

"It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce the appointment of Dick Watson, formerly chairman of Keepmoat PLC," chairman John Ryan told the club's official website.

"Dick, an avid Doncaster Rovers supporter along with the rest of his family, has lived locally for 25 years and is keen to progress the club to even further heights."
