Doncaster Rovers captain Brian Stock faces around three months out of action after undergoing surgery on an ankle problem.

The 27-year-old Wales international went under the knife earlier this week and now requires a lengthy rehab process.

Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll told the Sheffield Star: "He is facing a lengthy rehab with a best-case scenario of at least three months. It's a massive blow for us.

"Brian had gone in for an exploratory operation on his ankle and the surgeon found one or two problems that he thought he could do while he was under.

"I'm not sure what they are yet but, as I say, you are looking at 12 weeks."
