Shackell remains with Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have agreed a deal to keep Wolves central defender Jason Shackell at the Keepmoat Stadium until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old former Norwich City stopper has scored once in 19 appearances for Rovers, having slipped down the pecking order at Molineux.

Shackell's stay with Rovers comes with the condition that he could be recalled if another club make a suitable offer for a permanent transfer.

Rovers goalkeeper Neil Sullivan had earlier told the Sheffield Star: "Shacks has been doing great for us.

"As with all loan players, his form has got better and better the more games he has played in the team.

"He has done fantastic during his loan spell and obviously he is going to have some admirers and people looking at him. What happens now is down to Wolves."
