Shackell extends Rovers loan

Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan stay of Wolves central defender Jason Shackell until the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old has impressed during an initial month at the Keepmoat Stadium and is content to extend his time with the Championship outfit.

He told the club's official website: "It has been talked about over the past few days.

"The gaffer wanted to extend the loan deal and I have enjoyed the past few weeks.

"I'm happy to stay, play some games and help the team, while putting in some good performances for myself as well."
