Doncaster Rovers defender Tim Ryan has left the club by mutual consent after spending almost six years during his second spell at Belle Vue.

The 31-year-old moved to Rovers from Southport in May 2000 when the club was still in the Conference.

He helped the club secure two promotions and played over 200 games for the club.

Ryan started his career with Scunthorpe United and played 27 matches for Rovers during his first spell at Belle Vue before moving to Southport at the end of the 1996-97 campaign.
