Doncaster Rovers assistant manager Richard O'Kelly believes his side could still clinch automatic promotion from League One this season.

A Gareth Roberts goal clinched a crucial 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Friday evening, meaning Rovers closed the gap on both Carlisle United and Swansea City.

O'Kelly told the Sheffield Star: "You never say never in football.

"The odds are against us I suppose because of the points difference and the games Carlisle have got in hand.

"But I think the race for both first and second spot could go right down to the last game. Carlisle could catch Swansea.

"If we can win enough games and the top two drop enough points, who knows?"
