Doncaster Rovers striker Steve Brooker will play no more football this season after being forced to have ankle surgery.
The 28-year-old has struggled with the problem since penning a two-and-a-half-year contract with Rovers following his transfer from Bristol City in January.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "It's quite a routine operation, but it will rule him out for the rest of the season.
"Steve's got quite an unstable ankle. It seems to be the cause of all his problems."
