Rovers snare loanee Gillett

Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has snapped up the Southampton midfielder Simon Gillett on a two-month emergency loan deal.

The 23-year-old, who came through the youth team system at St Mary's, has made 30 first-team appearances for the Saints.

He has also enjoyed loan spells with Walsall, Blackpool, Bournemouth and Yeovil Town.

Gillett is expected to make his Rovers debut in the weekend derby clash with Barnsley.
