Rovers Sean O'Driscoll - Weve had no contact with Covenrty

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll has distanced himself from reports linking the club with former fans' favourite Michael McIndoe. A local paper reported this week that Rovers had shown a "tentative interest" in McIndoe, who is on Coventry City's books, prior to Tuesday's summer transfer deadline."The first I heard about it is when someone rung me about it," said O'Driscoll. "I went on to the internet to see the story."I don't know where the story came from," said O'Driscoll, who is critical of the paper for not contacting him to check if the rumours were true.He added: "I'm still trying to find out who, if anybody, contacted Coventry because it wasn't me."I respect any player who plays in the Championship. He (McIndoe) has got a good pedigree and he's a professional lad and he's been here before."Asked whether he would be interested in taking the out-of-favour McIndoe on loan should the opportunity arise - Sky Blues boss Adi Boothroyd has gone on record that certain senior players currently not getting a game - will be available to go out on loan - O'Driscoll said: "It would depend on how much it would cost because financially we are up to the budget."It would have to be outside the financial guidelines that I have been given."But it is difficult to comment on something that we've had no contact with Coventry over
