Rovers hope to re-sign Martis

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is hoping injured loanee Shelton Martis can return to the Keepmoat Stadium.

The 26-year-old defender has returned to parent club West Bromwich Albion after tearing his hamstring in last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Watford.

"Shelton tore his hamstring against Watford and he's going to be a minimum of two months out as it's quite a nasty one," O'Driscoll told the club's official website.

"We spoke to West Brom and it's unfortunate for all parties concerned.

"We'll be keeping in touch with Shelton through his rehab and, when he gets back to fitness, he's done well enough for us to be interested - should West Brom still want to let him out on loan.

"I'd definitely want to bring him back in on loan."
