Doncaster Rovers could be without captain Brian Stock for the rest of the season as he continues to be troubled by a back problem.

The 28-year-old Wales international may need a second operation to try and cure the problem, although an injection to try and ease the pain is also an option.

Manager Sean O'Driscoll told the Sheffield Star: "We received a report saying that to cure the problem Brian would need an operation, which would mean him missing the rest of the season.

"But there is the option to put another injection in his back rather than go straight in for surgery, so we are just mulling over whether we do that.

"That's what happened before and it solved the problem short-term and then he had surgery to try and cure it.

"Brian will make the ultimate decision because it is his health that we are talking about."
