Rovers eye LuaLua extension

Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll is keep to keep loan signing Kazenga LuaLua at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan from Newcastle United and impressed in the 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace, his first start for Rovers.

"He did well," said O'Driscoll. "He's an 18-year-old kid and he showed he's not afraid to shoot.

"He'll give people problems and, if you get the ball to him in or around the box, he's got a little bit of strength as well, so he's surprised a few people.

"He needs games in this division and he's not going to get any worse, he's only going to get better.

"We'll try and extend it for another week - depending on what Newcastle want to do with him.

"But we have the problem that if Newcastle come down into this division, they're not really going to lend one of their players to another Championship team, so fingers crossed that Newcastle stay up."
