    O'Driscoll rues Rovers loss

    02 Apr 2008 - 10:55:29

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll bemoaned a host of missed chances after his side's play-off push was halted by Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United.

Third-placed Rovers created a string of chances against their Yorkshire rivals at the Keepmoat Stadium but lost out to a first-half Alan Sheehan free-kick.

"I thought that we could have won by a cricket score," O'Driscoll told the club's official website.

"It wasn't to be. The performance was excellent but the finishing was obviously a bit wayward.

"In the second half we controlled it from start to finish but we are just disappointed that we didn't score.

"We have to take it on the chin and get ready for the next game."

Meanwhile, O'Driscoll also fears that Adam Lockwood could miss the rest of the season with a fractured bone in his foot.

"Adam Lockwood looks like he has had a stud that has come through his boot, which is where there was blood coming from," he continued.

"Talking to (physio) John Dickens he thinks that he has a fracture as well.

"If that is the case, then not only have we lost the game, we've lost a centre-half for the rest of the season as well."
