O'Driscoll hails Rovers revival

Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll was full of praise for his players after his side secured a 1-0 victory at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

A Paul Heffernan header gave Rovers their sixth win in their last seven league games, a run which has lifted O'Driscoll's men seven points clear of the drop zone.

He said after the latest success: "I thought we worked hard and got what we deserved.

"In the first half we were sparkling and we could have put the game out of reach, but they stuck an extra man in midfield and came back into it in the second half.

"We got a bit 'champagne football' at times and you have to be careful because one misplaced pass in this division and you can be punished.

"But overall I was pleased with the performance and the result."
