O'Driscoll expects tough times

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is expecting his side to face an even tougher test in the Championship next season.

O'Driscoll guided Rovers to 14th place in the table this term, but is aware that the division will be even stronger due to the addition of the likes of Newcastle United and Middlesbrough.

He told the Free Press: "It's not just the fact that Newcastle have come down that will make it tough next season - I just think standards seem to improve year on year.

"When you look at the other two Premier League teams to be relegated as well - Middlesbrough and West Brom - it certainly isn't going to get any easier for us.

"Leicester are coming back up and I think they'll have a bit of momentum behind them, while Peterborough could well be dark horses if they're able to continue the financial backing they've given to the manager.

"As for us, we learned a lot last season and I hope we'll remember those lessons."
