Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is confident Matt Mills will have recovered from injury in time to face Southampton on Saturday.
The 22-year-old defender picked up a thigh problem in the 4-1 defeat at Bristol City and had to be replaced by Adam Lockwood in the 54th minute.
"Matt felt his thigh and underwent treatment at half-time," said O'Driscoll.
"It was the same with James Hayter, but Matt could be the only one who can make that decision to come off or continue, really.
"He was feeling it and he felt that it was best to come off, with Adam going on."
