Mills exit rumors quashed

Talk of a potential loan move for Doncaster Rovers centre-half Matt Mills has been labelled as 'nonsense' by club chairman John Ryan.

The talented 22-year-old was the subject of a £1.4million bid from Birmingham City last month and speculation had mounted over a potential loan switch to St Andrew's, with a view to a permanent move when the transfer window re-opens.

"It's all nonsense as far as I'm concerned," Ryan told the Doncaster Free Press.

"Nobody has contacted me about a loan deal of that nature and if they did they would get short shrift.

"I keep trying to tell people we are not a selling club any more but it doesn't seem to have sunk in."
