    Hayter comeback complete

    20 Feb 2009 - 12:53:38

Doncaster Rovers striker James Hayter appears to have made a full recovery from his torn knee ligaments after playing a reserve team game this week.

The 29-year-old was goalless in his 17 Championship appearances this season, but remains a firm fans favourite after netting the only goal of the play-off final last season, promoting Rovers ahead of Leeds United.

"I've been out for a couple of months now and it's good to be back involved with the lads, be back in training and good to be involved in the game yesterday," Hayter told the club's official website after his midweek return against Bradford City.

"My knee is fine at the minute, now I'm just looking forward to going on and getting involved with the first team."

The former Bournemouth man is unlikely to return immediately to the first-team due to the form of Paul Heffernan and the signing of Dean Shiels, but could be in the squad to face Swansea this weekend.
