Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll is sure that new signing Shelton Martis has what it takes to be a success at the club.

The central defender joined for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half year deal from fellow Championship side West Bromwich Albion this week and he spent a successful loan spell under O'Driscoll back in 2008.

Martis, 28, will offer the Keepmoat Stadium side extra strength in the defensive department and his new boss wants to see him shine once again.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "He just fits in, he did the last time he was here on loan.

"He's got pace and power and can pass the ball. He's a good character and I'll think he'll flourish in this environment."
