Donny make Taylor swoop

Doncaster Rovers have confirmed that veteran striker Gareth Taylor has signed a deal keeping him at the Keepmoat Stadium until June 2009. After joining initially on-loan until the end of the season last Thursday, manager Sean O'Driscoll has moved to make Taylor's move a permanent one. The former Sheffield United and Manchester forward has left League One rivals Tranmere to aid Rovers' push towards the Championship. He also made 14 appearances for Wales, scoring one goal in a 4-0 friendly success against Scotland at the Millennium Stadium in 2004. He is likely to feature against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
