Brooker suffers new setback

Doncaster Rovers striker Steve Brooker has suffered a setback in his bid to regain full fitness, after sustaining an Achilles problem during pre-season training.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since last November due to an ankle injury and had been making good progress.

He told the Yorkshire Post: "My ankle was feeling really good at the start of last month and I was able to do some running.

"But ever since I started I've been having problems with my Achilles and I've had to rest up at times.

"I'm just waiting to get it right so that I can start to push on again."
