Doncaster Rovers have handed a trial to Fulham's teenage striker Elliott Bent and he played in the reserve team clash at Grimsby Town. The younger brother of Charlton striker Marcus Bent is also scheduled to play in the second string's match with Hartlepool United later this week. Assistant manager Richard O'Kelly said: "We are looking at players for next season and Elliot obviously comes into that category. "Sean (O'Driscoll) and I have watched him over the last couple of years and he has caught our eye and we had a good report on him last week at the exit trials so we thought that we would bring him in for a couple of days' training. "He did okay and went close to a goal, along with Craig Nelthorpe, early in the second half during a spell when it looked as though we could get back in the game."
