Achilles damage for Coppinger

Doncaster Rovers have confirmed that forward James Coppinger sustained an injury to his Achilles during Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat against Reading. Although the extent of the problem has yet to be revealed, the 28-year-old was stretchered off after 60 minutes in serious pain following a challenge from Reading's Dave Kitson. "He's on crutches at the minute and has taken a nasty bang to his Achilles," confirmed manager Sean O'Driscoll to the club's official website. "He just felt something go over in his ankle when he went over, but we'll have to wait and see. "These things usually take 24-48 hours to resolve and you then get a better picture - but the prognosis isn't looking too good."
