Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods has signed a new three-year contract to keep him at the Keepmoat Stadium until 2013. The 24-year-old, a former Leeds trainee, has started in all Rovers' seven league games this season and has captained the side in the absence of injured team-mate Brian Stock. The Scot is the second key player to commit himself to the club in recent weeks, with James Coppinger also signing a new three-year deal. Woods, who arrived at the Keepmoat on a free transfer from Rotherham in 2007, struggled to hold down a place in the starting line-up and was loaned out to Yeovil at the end of his first season before establishing himself as a regular the following campaign.
