Martin Woods believes Doncaster are ready for the challenge of the forthcoming npower Championship season and is relishing his own return from injury. Woods scored five goals for Rovers from midfield last term but his campaign was cut short after undergoing surgery on a troublesome groin problem. "I feel as if all the preparations have been right and that the boys are all looking good," Woods told Rovers Player. "We`ve all had sufficient minutes under our belt to take into the season. I feel as if we are ready to get into the swing of things. "Physically, I feel really good. The injury has obviously hampered me for a while now and it got frustrating in games last season where I could feel it. "I had to take injections and pills so that I could play on. Having the operation done has released my groin and I feel better than I have done for over a year." Rovers, who travel to Preston for their season opener, completed their preparations with a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
