Woods fighting fit for Rovers

Woods came off the bench for the final seven minutes at Deepdale and will be pushing for a starting role in this weekend's clash at Derby after three months out with a groin problem.[LNB]He told Rovers Player: "I'm really happy, it's been a long time out, it's probably the longest I've ever been out so it's given me a chance to work on different things as well in the gym and I've managed to do that. I've kept most of my fitness so I'm pretty pleased and obviously it's really good to be back."[LNB]On his recovery, he added: "I've got a painkilling injection and I've got another injection that's just come over from America so the couple of them are working and they seem to be doing it good. Most of the pain has gone and I'm able to play and it feels fine whenever I'm playing."[LNB]However, when asked if he would need an operation to rectify the problem in the summer, he said: "Not 100%, we're going to need to look at the situation in the summer, so obviously if it totally goes away between now and the end of the season then I'll get to the point where I might be able to just leave it and carry on with next season."[LNB][LNB]
