Wilson has joined Rovers after being released from his contract by Hibernian by "mutual consent". O'Driscoll told the Sheffield Star: "By bringing Jack in it gives us the opportunity to have a look at him and from his point of view getting six months at a Championship club at his age can't be bad. "Whether he plays or doesn't play the experience will be good for him. From a career point of view, I think he's made a sensible decision." Meanwhile, playmaker Brian Stock is vying for a start in Wales' World Cup qualifier against Russia on Wednesday.
