We can't afford Ward, say Rovers

Ward has made five appearances for Rovers, all in the starting line-up, since arriving on loan in the middle of last month and will play his last game for O'Driscoll's side in Saturday's home clash with Derby.[LNB]O'Driscoll said: "Financially we can't afford it. We're hoping Shelton Martis will now be fit.[LNB]"Elliott has done really well for us and we would definitely be interested in the summer but at this point, again, you cannot know what you can and cannot do financially.[LNB]"If Shelton is fit, then the gap we had was plugged short-term to get one of our centre-halves fit and Adam Lockwood is looking OK at the minute and is back in contention.[LNB]"Touch wood, that mini-crisis seems to have eased somewhat."[LNB][LNB]
