Signings in the pipeline

John Ryan says good things will come to those who wait this summer.

Paul Dickov has operated firmly under the radar since being unveiled as the club’s new manager a fortnight ago, spending the last two weeks swotting up on his coaching badges.

But Dickov has not just been busy with exams. He’s been busy on the phone - and Ryan says fans will soon begin to see the results of the new boss’s networking.

“There’s a lot of irons in the fire and Paul’s working very hard to attract players of a certain calibre to Doncaster,” said Ryan.

“The difficulty is that a lot of people are still away on holiday.

“But there’s lots of things going on. I’ve seen Paul’s list of targets, there’s some exciting names on there.”

While Dickov is keeping quiet on his possible targets, free agent Lee Croft has been tipped to be reunited with the Scot after the winger decided to quit Oldham Athletic.
