The 23-year-old forward, who joined from Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season on transfer deadline day, was a second-half substitute for James Hayter in Saturday's goalless draw at Reading. Hayter was forced out of the action with a groin strain, while midfielder James Coppinger fell victim to the same injury and both players are rated 50/50 for the match at Pride Park. Manager Sean O'Driscoll has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side chase their first away league win of the season. Foward Paul Heffernan remains sidelined with a groin injury and Steve Brooker (ankle) and Sean McDaid (knee) remain long-term absentees.
