Shackell set to miss Cardiff trip
Shackell, on loan from Wolves until the end of the season, missed the midweek defeat to Middlesbrough and is scheduled to have surgery to resolve a groin problem next week.[LNB]Shiels also sat it out on Tuesday night as he has been struggling with an ankle problem but manager Sean O'Driscoll will have skipper Brian Stock, John Oster and James Hayter back in his squad.[LNB]Stock (twisted ankle), Oster (hamstring) and Hayter (ill) were all unavailable against Middlesbrough.[LNB]Long-term absentee Sean McDaid returned from his 18-month injury lay-off when stepping off the substitutes' bench for the last eight minutes in midweek and is hoping to play a bigger role.[LNB]Midfielder Martin Woods (groin) is expected to return in 10 days after having an injection.[LNB][LNB]
