Ryan in dig at Leeds fans

Rovers chairman John Ryan has taken a swipe at the Leeds fans who live in Doncaster. The two sides clash at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night and Ryan, who insists his side will start as favourites, has urged those who live locally to get behind their hometown team. Ryan said: "All these people who pretend to support Leeds and come from Doncaster, it's quite unbelievable. If you are from Doncaster you should support Doncaster Rovers! We're better than Leeds anyway!" Ryan, whose side beat Leeds 1-0 in the 2008 League One play-off final in their last meeting, added: "I'm sure it will be a tremendous atmosphere inside the Keepmoat Stadium. "Obviously all of the Leeds fans are going to be there but I really think we've got a quality team this year and I'm sure we're going to give Leeds an awful lot to think about. "I would imagine if I was a betting man that Rovers would be favourites against Leeds on Friday night, which would almost be a unique situation."
