Ryan, whose personal mission to recruit the quietly-spoken former Bournemouth boss took many fans by surprise in 2006, said in his diary of Rovers' first Championship campaign: "Whatever happens, Sean O'Driscoll will remain our manager, unless he decides he has had enough."[LNB]Ryan claims there was never any prospect of Rovers following the trend of all the other strugglers last season despite Doncaster propping up the table at Christmas and explains why he picked out O'Driscoll when the media had linked him with a move for his personal friend Kevin Keegan.[LNB]He added: "I wasn't looking for a man with a CV full of trophies or a huge public profile...but the tactical know-how and intelligence to get us into the Championship."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
