Rovers star on road to recovery
The 32-year-old has struggled in his first season with Rovers and has recently been sidelined after undergoing a hernia operation.
"Darren has had a hernia repair. He's now into his second week of recovery and started his running programme," Dickens told the club's official website.
"That is the second hernia operation for Darren this year. They did the right side early in the season and his left side has now gone, so that was the one that he has just had repaired.
"We'd expect him to be back into training in a couple of weeks."
