Rovers players to perform

The Doncaster Rovers team, management and staff will be putting down the razors and going au naturale for charity this month The team have got together in support of the NSPCC and Right to Play charities and will be holding a sponsored beard growth throughout March in order to raise as much money as possible. Harringtons of Bawtry will be performing the 'shave off' at the end of the month.The NSPCC and Right to Play are two charities that the team regularly support. Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "We are thrilled to be doing this for such worthwhile charities. We hope we can raise a large sum of money that will be used to benefit the lives of many children. "We've got our own sweepstake going for the hairiest member of the team, all proceeds of which will be donated." The team hope to reach a target of £6,000 and are asking for support from the local community and their fan base. All money raised will be split evenly between both charities. NSPCC spokesperson Claire Reading said:"Doncaster Rovers are brilliant supporters of the NSPCC and this hairy challenge is a great way for the players to get involved."
