Rovers Mark Wilson- We still have targets to achieve

Like the rest of his team-mates, Doncaster Rovers midfielder Mark Wilson has had to come to terms with the disappointment of seeing the club's promotion play-off hopes dashed following successive defeats over Easter But Wilson and Co have too much pride to let what has been a magnificent season to date simply run out of momentum in the last four games. There are still targets to aim for such as a first top ten finish at this level in the club's history. To be in with a realistic chance of achieving that goal, Rovers will probably need to win at least two of their remaining games. But with two top-six sides and derby rivals Scunthorpe United, one of the teams currently hovering above the relegation zone, to be faced during the run-in, that could prove a tall order. Yet Wilson feels that Rovers have proved to be as good as any team in the division on their day. He says that they will not be fazed entertaining the high-flying Baggies. "We want to win all our remaining games - especially the last two home games," he said. "We'll be going out with all guns blazing to try and avenge the early season defeat at the Hawthorns. "Obviously it is going to be a tough game. "I watched them play against Leicester recently and they have got some flair players, seem organised and are set to get promoted back to the Premiership at the first attempt. "I think that while they'll be happy to go straight back up, like any football club of their size, they've got a lot of pride. "They'll want to try and pip Newcastle for the title." Wilson has arguably played his best football in a red and white hooped shirt this season.. "I'd agree that I've probably had my best season since I've been here," said Wilson this week. "I have been happy with my form but that comes from the amount of games that I've played. "The gaffer has had the faith to play me, which I am very grateful for, and I just go out and try and repay that faith. "I've had a lot of starts on the bounce this season and any player will tell you that it makes a big difference. "I feel that I am getting to a level where I want to be and which I want to keep up. The more you play the more your vision improves as does your self-belief." Wilson is one of a number of Doncaster players out of contract at end of the season and the likes of Scunthorpe, Barnsley and Swindon are all reportedly keen. Said Wilson: "I am still a Rovers' player. I have enjoyed my time at the club and hopefully that will continue but it is not in my hands at the moment. "This is a great club, which in the last three or four years has been very successful, and I've enjoyed working under a manager that I am learning from all the time. "Assistant manager Richard O'Kelly has also been great with me
