Doncaster assistant manager Richard O'Kelly has revealed that the club are looking to bring in a striker on loan to compensate for the loss to injury of star forward Billy Sharp. Sharp, who became Rovers` record signing when he made the permanent switch from Sheffield United in the summer following a successful loan spell, had plundered six goals in 13 matches this season but tore his hamstring in Saturday's 2-0 home win over the Blades and will be out for a minimum of six weeks. With rookie front player Waide Fairhurst currently on-loan at Southend and experienced forward Steve Brooker still suffering with an abductor injury Donny are short up front. O'Kelly says they are hoping to fetch a striker to the Keepmoat but only if he fits in with the culture of the club."At the moment we are looking to try and bring someone in if we possibly can. We play various systems so we want someone who is versatile. "It has to be a certain type of player that fits in with how we do things here at Doncaster Rovers. We want someone who is a good personality and that can mix with the rest of the squad. We want someone to drop into what we are doing."We would like to get someone in before Saturday but, then again, the side that finished against Sheffield United would be more than adequate for what we want to do."
