Rovers Brian Stock- I want more games for Wales
Doncaster Rovers' skipper Brian Stock is hoping that his decision to pull out of Wednesday night's Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria and Tuesday's game in Switzerland will not affect his hopes of adding to his Wales caps Stock pulled out of the Wales squad in midweek following a chat with new caretaker manager Brian Flynn.Said Stock: "I had a long chat with Brian Flynn and we discussed quite a few reasons why I had decided to pull out of the squad."He saw sense in the reason why I wanted to pull out and we took it from there."One of the reasons why I decided to pull out was that I've not started many games this season and I've been on the bench for the last five games."I just felt that had I played I'd not have been 100 per cent fit and that I wouldn't have done myself justice."There was also the problem with all the travelling involved. Anyone who has had a back problem will know that it doesn't do you any good sat in a coach or a plane or a train for long periods."The last time I played for Wales at the start of the season my back played up and it is something that I didn't want to risk happening again - especially with my contract being up at the end of the season."If I got injured again it might cause me problems contract-wise at Doncaster or finding another club."He understood what I was saying and he felt that I had made the right decision."It was a compliment when he picked me for the squad and one of the things that I said to him was that I appreciated being chosen."It is disappointing having to pull out and it is not the first time. "I didn't want him to feel that I wasn't committed because that's not the case."I told him that I don't want to close the door on my international career."It's hard to say whether he's going go get the job on a permanent basis - a lot will probably depend on how the next two games go."He's a smashing bloke and whenever he's around the place he's got a big smile on his face."From what I've been told by other people he gets the best out of players
