Doncaster Rovers' boss Sean O'Driscoll has not given up hope of bringing in an on-loan striker ahead of tomorrow's Championship game at Reading despite drawing a blank to date O'Driscoll is anxious to bring someone in as cover for record signing Billy Sharp, who faces up to six weeks on the sidelines after suffering a grade two hamstring tear in last weekend's game against Sheffield United, but says it has to be the right man.Speaking at yesterday afternoon's press conference, the Rovers' boss said: "We've been unsuccessful at the this moment in time, but we are still hoping."The people that we've asked about are unavailable - clubs don't really want to let a goal-scorer go, as you can imagine."A couple of people that are available are injured, so there is no point in bringing in someone that's injured, but that will be monitored at the beginning of next week, so we are as we are."Rather than rush to try and get someone in for Saturday and then maybe regret it, we'll probably bring somebody in whose got an injury (but would probably be fit for the club's next game),"But something might happen just before the game - these things usually do. Somebody either changes their mind or the fact that they will go straight into the team is attractive."We've named the team today but we've told the players today that if somebody becomes available, who we deem suitable to go straight into the team, then we would do it."It is such an important position; you live and die by your goal-scorers and obviously we'll miss Billy, but if we can get somebody in then we will."
