Proud Rovers skipper takes Stock

Rovers were heading for an instant return to League One after a dreadful start to the season had left them in the relegation zone, but a run of just seven defeats in 22 league games has seen Sean O'Driscoll's men climb up the league. "Considering where we were at Christmas it was going to take a massive effort to stay in the Championship, but we did it and it is a great achievement," Stock, currently nursing a back injury, told the Star. "Even when results weren't going our way the team stuck together. Everybody had the right attitude and that showed in some of our performances. "To go on the sort of run we did in the second half of the season was a great effort." Rovers bring their season to close at champions Wolves on Sunday, where a point could see them finish in the top half of the table.
