Oster has been training with Rovers during pre-season after leaving Crystal Palace earlier in the summer. He has done enough to earn a short-term contract at the Keepmoat Stadium and could be involved in Saturday's Championship opener at Watford. The 30-year-old's signing caps a busy week in the transfer market for Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll as he prepares for the new season. Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune also earned a deal after showing up well on trial, while Byron Webster and Mustapha Dumbuya have joined the club.
