Oster: We will improve again

Doncaster midfielder John Oster predicts another improved showing in the npower Championship for Sean O'Driscoll's side next season. Rovers defied the odds after looking like relegation candidates at Christmas two seasons ago to end their first campaign back in the second tier in 14th place and improved on that last season with a 12th-placed finish. Oster, who signed a new two-year deal at the Keepmoat Stadium last week, told the club's official website: "I'm more than happy here and I enjoy playing for the manager. "The lads are great and this season, depending on signings and a bit of luck here and there, I think that we can do better than we did last season. "I really enjoyed last season. I enjoyed the early part of the season and with injuries to Woodsy and Stocky later on, I was asked to fill in midfield. That was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my role in central midfield where I saw a lot of the ball."
