Only one home friendly for Rovers

Director of football Micky Walker's testimonial on August 1 is the only summer match scheduled to take place on home turf but manager Sean O'Driscoll believes it is the right decision for the club. He told the Sheffield Star: "We can't have it both ways. We can't play games in pre-season and then moan about the state of the pitch. "The biggest problem is the standard of care - and I am not having a go at anybody. "The groundsmen have an awful job if they [Stadium Management Committee] hire the pitch out for this and that. If you are going to do that, you've got to try and maintain it a bit better. "You've got to do the refurbishment when it's time. As long as they do that it should be ok but everyone here has to compromise."
