O'Kelly laments injury problems

Doncaster assistant manager Richard O'Kelly believes a crippling injury list was largely responsible for his side's 6-0 thrashing by Ipswich at the Keepmoat Stadium. England Under-21 star Connor Wickham fired a hat-trick for Ipswich while Colin Healy, Sam Hird's own goal and Gareth McAuley ensured the heaviest defeat of the season for Rovers, whose problems started earlier in the day when striker Billy Sharp (illness) and skipper Brian Stock (injury) both pulled out of an already depleted squad. O'Kelly said: "It's one of those things, but from that moment it was always going to be a tough game. "Even though we lost 6-0, ironically we passed the ball at times better than we did on Saturday. "The spirit was good and we kept going to the end against probably the form team in the Championship right now, and we could have had a couple of goals late on. "But the manner of the goals we conceded was very disappointing. You're also thinking about damage limitation, but you also think that if you can get a goal it's 3-1 and all of a sudden you are back in the game."
