But numerous injuries have forced O'Driscoll to reassess their tactics and personnel.
"We've been having to almost build another team," he told the Sheffield Star. "We're not a club that can go out and spend fortunes so it always takes a little bit more time.
"We have to nurture this side through. Actually, the international break has come at quite a good time because it gives us time to assess exactly where we are."
