O`Driscoll wary of Bellamy threat

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll will face the full force of Craig Bellamy's Cardiff debut on Saturday and admits he would have loved to sign the Welsh striker himself. Bellamy completed his controversial loan switch from Manchester City earlier this week and will make his first appearance against Rovers at a packed Cardiff City Stadium. "It's a great acquisition," O'Driscoll told the club's official website. "He's one of those players who, every time you see him play, he plays with enthusiasm and is demanding of his team-mates. "Whenever you've seen him play throughout his career, you couldn't fault his effort and his work rate. I'm still gobsmacked Manchester City have 24 or 25 players better than Craig Bellamy. "If I was in Dave Jones' shoes I would be delighted that someone of that quality has got family in Cardiff. I wish he had family in Doncaster, maybe we could have got him."
