O'Driscoll unhappy with rule change

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll fears his players are at risk of sustaining injury in the Joma South-West Challenge tournament in Devon. O'Driscoll had initially been told by tournament organisers that five substitutes would be allowed during games but it has now been confirmed only three will be permitted and the boss is not happy. He told the club's official website: "We'll have to play Monday, Wednesday and then possibly Saturday and Sunday and at the minute my squad is not big enough to cope with that and we'll just end up getting an injury or injuries. "We need to either get more players in or speak to them and see if they can change the rules and allow five subs. We're disappointed because the correspondence we've had has said we can change five players. "When you have pre-season games you want to try and use everybody. If we played four games in seven days in any other period of the season then people would be saying what a difficult position it is, so why do it in pre-season? I don't understand it. Hopefully we'll be able to get a couple of players in."
