Burnley and Rovers failed to agree a compensation fee in the event that O'Driscoll became the Premier League club's new manager and the job was offered instead to Brian Laws, who had recently left Sheffield Wednesday.[LNB]O'Driscoll said: "I'm delighted to be here and the players have been magnificent. I've kept them informed of everything.[LNB]"They have been good, they have knuckled down and taken responsibility, which is something we bang on about all of the time.[LNB]"They have been terrific and we're now all looking forward to getting out on the pitch on Saturday and playing a game of football as opposed to worrying about the snow and trying to keep themselves fit without not being able to kick a ball."[LNB]O'Driscoll added: "We wish Brian, who I know very well, all the best. I will be rooting for him and I hope they do really well. Burnley is a good club with good tradition and I think that the people behind the scene are trying to do things properly in a difficult division. I have no axe to grind with anybody."[LNB][LNB]
