O'Driscoll had been strongly linked with the vacant managerial position at Turf Moor, however Burnley would have had to meet Doncaster's compensation demands.

Former Sheffield Wednesday boss Laws was without a club and had emerged as the firm favourite to be installed as Owen Coyle's successor.

A Doncaster club statement read: "Sean O'Driscoll is to remain at the Keepmoat Stadium. Doncaster Rovers can confirm that enquiries were made by a Premier League club; however these enquiries are now at an end."

Doncaster 6/5, Watford 9/4, Draw 12/5
