O'Driscoll: Lessons learned

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll believes his players used the lesson learned from their recent home defeat to Derby to outclass South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United on Saturday. Rovers overran the Blades in the first half of their 2-0 win at the Keepmoat Stadium and while the visitors made a better fist of it in the second period, O'Driscoll's side was superior. O'Driscoll said: "We lost the game against Derby County (the previous Tuesday) because we played the ball in stupid areas. "I thought we won the game in the first half, by playing at the right times in the right areas. For us, it was a learning experience and we learned. "There's no point getting a defeat and not learning from it. We reviewed it and learned the lessons from it and put it into practice. "It was a good game for us to come into - a local derby and with the way that they set up, with 10 men behind the ball, it allowed us to put it into practice. We got it spot on."
